520 was good for tracking rides. Never used a Garmin HR monitor.
Had a Vivoactive 3 which clued me in reliably on some physiological activites -- active and passive. Thought the Vivoactive 5 would be an upgrade.
Instead, the vivo5 has in every slimy, used car sales-person way encouraged me to buy more garmin crap to get the same details i had with the old version. If this doesn't stink of planned obsolescence, go stick your head in the dumpster to reacquaint yourself with the scent of decay.
Garmin is in decay. They have nothing new. They're just trying to force us to buy their year's old garbage to make their software stats 'whole.'
So my question for you today is: Polar? Wahoo? (dare I say it) Magene (who is that anyway? I'd like to give them a shot rather than spend more money on Garmin's sinking ship fallacy)
