My Edge 530 altimeter has worked for years but now reports elevation changes that are not even close. I have cleaned the device, done a factory reset and calibrated the elevation during a ride but the problem persists. My Edge 530 is several years old so perhaps the altimeter no longer functions properly (I've heard this happens). The good news is I've learned that after the activity ends you can change it to use professional survey results instead of the altimeter which sorts things out just fine. However, I would like this to be the _default_ source of elevation for my rides. Is that possible?
