Cycling Coach Plan not syncing to Edge 530

Hi all, I created a training plan for cycling in Garmin Connect and now have daily workouts I can see in the App and the Web.

* It has automatically synchronized the workout on my Forerunner 965 watch.

* It failed to synchronized to my Edge 530 (the sync succeeds but nothing showing up in Training plan widget

One interesting behavior i noticed is that:

* If i created the plan as "Garmin Cycling Coach" type, it can be sync'd to my 965 watch but cannot be sync'd to Edge 530

* If i created the plan as "Race Plan" type, it can be sync'd to my 965 watch and it can also be sync'd to Edge 530

Today I tried just using Garmin Connect to create a training plan using the "Coach" and syncing it to the 530, it does not work. It flashes up you must use the "Garmin Mobile App" or use "Garmin Express…

Yep. 530. Amd using a race plan worked fine.

that's a terrible/unbelievable feature gap. If it's supported by 540 but not 530.

For some unknow reason, I cannot post a proper responce to this, But it works for me, but I can post this odd!

Works perfectly for me, just created a training plan under "Training Coach" and then ran Garmin Express and did a synch.

When I boot the Edge 530 up, I just go to "Menu" look under "Training" and the training plan is there. I have never used this feature before but it was very simple to do. But its is very annoying to have a training plan done through the "coach" on your 530, its rammed in your face everytime you turn your 530 on and can only get rid of it if you select "Skip Step". Which basically means, you cannot do something else before the training plan step. Maybe their is a workround which I have not yet seen but as I do not use this feature, I can delete it.

Thanks for the info. I wonder if this works because you're using Garmin Express (is that the Windows app?) to sync rather than just via the website.

Garmin Express is the Windows app.

Another possible cause is the cable you are using, is it a just a "power" cable, if so it should be a "power and data cable". It's a common problem when your do a sync as data will not be transferred.
