Cycling: no influence on Training Status

My training status has been "Unproductive" for nearly two weeks now, the reason being "decreasing" running VO2Max (shown in Connect app). It has just dropped once from 44 to 43, and remains constant since then, and not decreasing. Meanwhile, I've done a few personal records cycling:

- best ever 20 min avg. max power, two days ago

- fastest 40 km, 10 days ago

- best ever cycling VO2Max, today

My training load is at it's highest during ownership of Edge 530 and Instinct 2.

My "training focus" is in optimal in all three categories.

Subjectively, I do not feel exhausted when I wake up. In fact, I feel very good.

Given all of the above, my training can hardly be described as "Unproductive", and my fitness is hardly "declining".

Is there some magic setting to tell Connect to take my cycling into account? It feels just as if the cycling data being completely ignored.

  • I didn't do anything since the original post, but this morning I've found out that my fitness "keeps improving", the TS being "Progressive". Apparently it is updated once a day. Still, it feels strange, as it implies that to be "Progressive", one has to do all-out training sessions all the time.
