Route Calculation Error. Maps do not have routable roads.

Hi,

After the most recent update, I began to get an error message: "Route Calculation Error. Maps does not have routable roads in the area." This occurs whenever I am using navigation and it does not matter which route I choose. I checked to ensure that the profile being used has the appropriate maps enabled.  My device is an Edge 830 and currently has software version 9.75 installed. The update was done on my Mac desktop using Garmin Express.

All the best,

John

  • Check that turn guidance is still enabled and not been switched off some how.

Menu -> Navigation -> Courses -> Course Options -> Turn Guidance

  • Hi, Thanks for the reply, buy I don't follow you. On my Edge 830, I have Menu -> But Navigation is not an option.  My tree has Menu with History, My Stats, Activity Profiles, Sensors, Safety & Tracking, Connected Features, Battery Save Mode, Extended Display Mode, and System as options. If I tap "Navigation" from the Home Screen, then Courses is an option. The tree however has the following options: Saved Courses, Course Creator, and Roundtrip courses.  Again, there is no Menu -> Navigation -> Courses -> Course Options.....

  • You posted in the 530 hence the instructions I gave.

    On an 830 it is

Navigation -> Courses -> Saved Courses  -> Hamburger menu bottom right of screen -> Turn Guidance

  • Yes, turn guidance is toggled on.
