Garmin not showing DI2 gear ratio

I've recently bought a new bike with Shimano DI2 electronic shifting. I've connected the system with my Edge 530, which shows me the gear I'm in. However, it doesn't show me the gear ratio, although there is a gear ratio data field. It just has 0:0 no matter what gear I'm in. Does anyone know how to fix this so it does display the ratio?

    The gear size needs to set on the Di2 system using the e-tube app if the Edge is configured to use automatic information. Alternatively you can set the Di2 sensor on the Edge to use manual information and set the sizes there.

    Great, thanks very much for that. I'll give that a try today. Can you let me know where in the Edge system I do the configuring?

    With the Edge in communication with the Di2 system go to

    Menu -> System -> Sensors - Di2 -> Sensor Details -> Front/Rear Gears 

    There you will see an option for automatic. This will use whatever gears size are set using e-tube. Alternatively you can switch that off and select from Gear Presets or build your own custom settings
