Edge 530 screen dead yet buttons work

was out for a ride hit, a pothole and edge 530 popped out the mount and bounced on the ground. Picked it up and the screen was blank but button presses were sounding, so dead screen. I have tried holding down the power button for 10 second for a reset but screen still blank/dead, plugged into laptop - recognised but still no screen. Any other suggestions appreciated, as in is it recoverable/repairable or goosed? Thanks

Using the tether would have been a good idea. Take a look here to see if replacing the screen is within your pay grade.

that's a good video, thanks for that. Yeah the tether would have been a good idea but I've been using Edge units for 10 years now and never had one pop out the mount, maybe wasn't installed correctly.

So an update for anyone else who encounters this problem. I basically followed instructions in the y tube link. Upon opening up the screen found that the connecter to the main board was detached obviously caused by the force of impact when hitting the ground at speed. I removed the existing glue on the screen and the edge unit, ordered T7000 glue (this one is black compared to the clear T8000 recommended in the video) reconnected the screen to the main board then glued back in, fixed!
