Edge 530 not receiving iPhone IOS message notifications, but receives other messages

HI all,

My Garmin Edge 530 is not receiving iPhone IOS message notifications, but receives other text messages.

For example, messages sent from friends who use iPhone IOS messages do not trigger the Edge 530 on-screen notifications.

However, If they send a message using their Google Voice messaging app, the message notification does appear on the Edge 530.

I have verified the settings on my iPhone are correct per the Edge 530 instructions, and also on the related settings on the Garmin connect app.

Any ideas, ???

Try the following steps:

Delete the Edge Bluetooth connection on the phone.

Delete the phone Bluetooth connection on the Edge.

In the GC App, remove the Edge as a device if it’s there.

Reboot the phone and Edge.

Start the pairing process again from the Edge, not from the phone, as per the Garmin Instructions.

Optionally, delete and re-install the GC app on the phone.

Thanks for suggestion. I followed steps you provided, and unfortunately the problem persists.

Any other ideas???

Hi all,

I have referred my problem to Garmin tech support. Hopefully a resolution will be forthcoming.
