Garmin Edge 530 maps

Hi,

If I buy an Edge 530 with EU maps, can I delete the maps and install the Australia maps?

Essentially making it an Australian version?

You can't change the Garmin maps to a different region from that the device was first sold in with the x30 units. It is different with the x40 models where you can change map regions.

You can however use third party maps, or create your own maps, of any part of the world so you could get maps of Australia and use them instead of the Garmin ones.
