Garmin Edge 530 Button Issue

Sometimes when I press the down button it goes back instead. This is very annoying as it makes it hard to navigate around the garmin. The button is sticker/clicker compared to the other buttons if that matters. What can I do to fix this?

Somewhere there is a link about loosening the buttons up, I think it involves running warm water over it whilst pressing the button to flush any dirt and gum out. That said, I experienced the exact same issue and a forced power down fixed the issue. Push and hold the power button until the Edge shuts off. Don't let up on the button until you see the On/Off symbol on the screen. Then you can restart and use as usual.

So for me it had nothing to do with what I also thought was a sticky button. It just needed a forced power-down to find its way again.

I have the same problem. The button clicks as all other buttons, no difference. I do power off after every ride.
