Is there a way to change the elevation profile?

As far as I understand it's only possble to change the elevation profile screen by changing the zoom on the map. 
It would be really satisfying to have a separate setting for that. For example when using navigation and riding along a planned route I would like to see my progress in the elevation profile of the whole tour.

    To see your elevation profile of a whole tour is a waste of time, it's pointless, you can do it now and their is nothing to glean from it. The whole tour is compressed into a tiny screen and the only thing that would stand out would be massive climbs going up 1000's of feet. All normal climbs and descents would be just lost in the clutter of the elevation profile and you would not have the faintest what is coming up.

    You are probably right with the clutter! Still I think it would be nice to set the elevation profile scale separarely from the map scale. To me it would be very motivational to have a visual representation of how I have progressed in the elevation, not just by numbers.

    this might be what you are after on connectIQ as your after a specific display  https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/6077b923-ae4e-4e4a-9b33-5d929f90f24f you can instal that display onto your garmin, also search more as their might be a more specific one that suits your needs or you could contact one of those developers to create your display
