Connect IQ download queue

Hi!

Since I got my edge 530, I am having issues with downloading apps/data fields.

Sometimes it works fine, but most of the time I only get "queued" in the download queue. I tried killing IQ app, syncing over bluetooth, also over wifi, but with no luck.

Usually it works when I connect via cable and sync over express, but this time I don't have access to my PC and so my struggle is really happening.

However, I am not sure if it's really not downloading, or just not syncing right, because when I turned edge off and kiilled IQ again, upon connecting back it was already synced as downloaded.

Is anyone else having this issue?

  • I have always been stumped about the Connect IQ download queue.  My experience seems the same as yours.  Phone app will show things in queue with no way that I can tell the move things along.  Things do seem to resolve themselves eventually.  

  • Hi, currently if I download an update for a Connect IQ app (using the Connect app on my phone), a "Download Complete" message pops up on the top of my Edge screen. But if I remember correctly, the phone app won't show that the update has been downloaded (I can repeat the download again and again if I want). Instead I have to restart the Edge for the update to be active and the phone app to show the correct status.

    So now I download the updates via the phone app, verify that I get a Download Complete message on the Edge for each one, and then I restart the Edge.

  • That actually makes sense and works as you described. Although I have no idea why it works like that, now I don't have to wait 2 eternities to see if it does something. Thank you!
