Acquiring Satellites

Just bought a 530 Sensor Budle;
Successfully synchronized with the application on the iPhone;
Successfully downloaded the app for macbook Garmin Express 7.17.2.0;
Successfully upgraded 530 to 9.75;
Successfully updated maps (Routable Cycle Map of Europe 2023.10, Trailforks 2023.10), it took 20 minutes;
Successfully connected all sensors;
Set up for GPS + GLONASS;

Problem:
But my 530 shows that I'm in the US (the day before it showed that I'm in Taiwan), despite the fact that the GPS indicator shows a connection from 3 to 5 lanes. The question mark is also blinking. What affects both the time zone and the clock.

Please help

You have to leave the unit somewhere outside with a good view of the sky until it gets satellite lock. The acquiring satellite message and the blinking question mark indicate it has not got satellite lock…

You have to leave the unit somewhere outside with a good view of the sky until it gets satellite lock. The acquiring satellite message and the blinking question mark indicate it has not got satellite lock. The question mark is replaced by the marker arrow when it knows where it is. It may take up to 15 minutes or so to get the first lock when new. Afterwards it will be a lot quicker. When satellite lock is achieved it will know where it is and the clock will be set to the correct time.

I stood for 30 minutes in an open area, there are no high-rise buildings around, with a good GPS signal of 5 sticks, but my device did not find satellites. At the same time, my phone's navigator worked like a Swiss watch.

Make sure you have the latest version of Garmin Connect on your phone and sync the Edge to the phone each time before you go to use the Edge. The GC app will download the latest location data and help the Edge get a lock sooner.

My 530 sobered up. Today I just went for a walk and took it with me, an hour later the 530th found satellites, the sticks turned green. Amen.

Excellent! But you should still sync with Garmin Connect app regularly (right before a ride is best) to get up to date location data downloaded into the Edge. This keeps the satellite positioning data up to date and lessens the time to lock in.
