Edge 530 exchange

Hi, I recently had a minor mtb fall and have some scratches on the screen on my Edge 530; this is cosmetic only and glass is not cracked and unit operates normally. I initially spoke with a Garmin agent about repair, and I was told I could return and exchange my unit for $130 + tax. Question I have is whether that is for an equivalent Edge 530 or whether that could equally apply to an newer Edge 540? Thanks Paul.

Hi, that's a question you'd probably have to ask Garmin Support, we're just users here. I suspect it would only be for a 530 though. (Personally it seems like a lot, if it's just cosmetic scratches then why bother.)

@dinosaur game I think maybe your device is just broken. You just need to replace it, not necessarily exchange it for a new one.

If it applied to an upgrade, many more 530s would coincidentally have damage. That is, it might likely be a disaster for Garmin to have such a policy.
