How can I switch to the course view, not the overall map, if it is in activity profile screen

Garmin 530 edge is my first bike computer and I have really struggled with it, it is the opposite of intuitive

I am loading courses, I hit ride and sometimes it is perfect I can follow the course

Last time it stayed on the activity profile screen only flashing up turns in top left just before the turn

I prefer the detail route so I know eg next turn is in 2 miles

How can I switch to the course view, not the overall map, if it is in activity profile screen

Thank you for any help

(Finding it so time consuming to work out everything on this 530)

You can use the up and down keys to scroll through each of your chosen data screens. The map zoom level is adjustable too. Yes, it will take a while to work everything out. I'd suggest experimenting with different settings on short test rides to work out just what works best for you.

The "distance to next" data field can also be handy to give a countdown distance to the next navigation point.

Thank you, I had watched the first video a couple of times when searching for help, but had not seen the second before, it does cover the point I was stuck on ie being in activity screen and wanting map, (8 mins 30). I had no idea it would be so difficult but finally getting there - thanks again
