My Edge 530 won't go into mass storage mode

My Edge 530 is not being recognized by my computer. I tried the following:

- 4 different cables

- starting with the LAP button pressed (following these instructions )

- 10 second power button for a soft reset

- factory reset from within the menu

but all to no avail.

The device seems to work normally, but I cannot install new maps or updates.

Any tips?

are any of the four cables you've tried a Garmin cable/data cable?

Actually, cable no. 5 worked, so all is good. I lost my Garmin cable at some point, turns out most micro USB cables are charging only...
