Is there a way to see surface type on courses?

Basically the title. I do a fair amount of gravel riding and create courses on garmin connect or grab them from ride with GPS. A lot of these courses string gravel sections together with some road in between and it would be nice to get some sort of visual cue on what the surface type is on maps. Is this something that can be accomplished?

I would think the gravel sections show-up generally as "paths" and the paved sections show up as "roads". "Paths" show up as thin lines (and might be obscured by the course line) and "roads" are thicker. Service roads are as thin as paths but the roads are gray (and the paths are black).

If you are asking to have the course line show a difference, then there isn't any way of doing that (and it's not likely to happen).

The course files would have to include that information (and they don't).
