Edge 530 stuck on darkened graphic of a power button.

Yesterday it stopped registering speed & distance after 1.79miles, Turned it on & off a couple of times. Registered the time lapsed but speed, elevation etc absent, not even 0.00
At home I tried again (24sh hours ago) & the darkened graphic of a power button popped up. It has shown this screen ever since. Does not respond to any of the buttons on the device or the normal hard restart process. Not recognised when plugged into laptop and not connecting to phone via Bluetooth.

Don't know what do next. Help please...

Resetting by holding the power button down can take longer than Garmin’s 10 second instruction so perhaps try again for longer.

You could also try to force it to mass storage by with a press and hold of the lap button while plugging into USB port on computer (with a data cable- not a charge only cable) and the device should go to mass storage after 10 sec or so.
