I havea garming Edge 530, and I was wondering why it doesn't show computed cadence.
I do not have a cadence sensor, but that seems unnecessary, as I do have a speed sensor, so it knows how many revolutions per minute my wheel is making. It is also connected to my Di2 shifting mechanism and knows what gear I am in. In fact, it displays the gear ratio.
If the computer knows how fast the wheels are spinning and what the gear ratio is, it is trivial to compute how fast the pedals are spinning. Why doesn't this get displayed/recorded? It seems much cleaner than adding a cadence sensor.
