Speed sensor error

My Edge 530 shows my cycling speed as 0. Sometimes 1 or 2 times per ride, the worst time was about 1 /3 of ride showing speed as 0. I changed battery, rebooted, repaired, don’t know what else to do. Please help.

Do you have a speed sensor paired to the Edge? If so - troubleshoot the sensor itself. Replace the battery, un-pair / pair and check to see if there are any updates available.

If no sensors are paired, check to make sure your Edge is in an outdoor activity profile (Road, Mountain). GPS is turned off when set to Indoor.

Lastly, ensure GPS is turned on: From the home screen, press the 'up' key. Highlight the top bar and press Enter. Ensure GPS is toggled on.
