Display Map Overview of Course as Data Screen?

Is it possible to get the map overview of a course (which is accesible via Menu > Navigation > Courses > #Course X > Map) as a data screen?

I find the information displayed there very useful (complete course on a map oriented North and your position on this course) and it would be extremly nice if I did not have to press 11 keys to get there from a running activity!

What I like to do is make whatever course I am interested in "always display" on the map. I usually don't even use navigation, I just go to my map screen and see where my location is relative to the course which will be shown on the map.

Displaying a Course on the Map

For each course saved to your device, you can customize how it appears on the map. For example, you can set your commute course to always display on the map in yellow. You can have an alternate course display in green. This allows you to see the courses while you are riding, but not follow or navigate a particular course.

Select Menu > Navigation > Courses.
Select the course.
Select Settings.
Select Always Display to make the course appear on the map.
Select Color, and select a color.
Select Course Points to include course points on the map.

The next time you ride near the course, it appears on the map.

No, there's no way of doing that. You can zoom out get some of what you are looking at.

It seems that knowing how far you've travelled and how much there is remaining in the course is enough for most people to gauge their progress.

There are a couple of IQ datafields that might do what you want but there's probably extra fussing with course files to get them to work (that is, it might not be the trouble).
