Stiff button

The start button of my Edge 530 has become quite stiff, i can't feel anymore if it's being pushed or not. It seems to still work though.

Any ideas whether i should attempt e.g. cleaning? Or should i just accept the fact that the device is aging?

Thanks a lot! To my surprise, this simple recommendation (rinse under warm water) was all which was needed - works perfect again.
