Changing target power during workouts

I currently use workouts on an Interactive Home Trainer on my Edge 530, and they works fine. One thing I noticed is that when the step target is power, suppose 5 min in Z3, the resistance of the trainer adapts, forcing to average the Zone value. That's classic ERG mode. Example. if Z3 is - say - between 240 and 280 W, the resistance will bring you to 260 W, no matter how fast or slow you're pedalling.

This is generally ok, but I wonder if there are ways to change the target inside the Power Zone during the workout. Imagine that I want to average 275 W instead of 260 W for that step. Is that possible?

Thanks

Franco

  • If I understand correctly, you are wanting to adjust the resistance during the workout on the fly for that step. You can do so by pressing the top right button and accessing the menu.
