Garmin 530 was at 3% this morning. Put on battery save mode. Uploaded complete ride. Now will not charge and appears to be "dead". I've done the obvious switched ports, chargers et al to no avail. Any ideas to resolve?

    Put it on charge with your normal setup for 30 minutes, and try a reset - hold the top-left button for 30 seconds or until something/anything happens.

    Going forward try not to let it go below 20% charge.  Lithium batteries last much longer when kept between 20 and 80% charged.  Every time you deep discharge like that you are taking life out of the battery.  I only charge mine right before use and generally stop charging at around 90% since I generally don't need a full battery for a usual ride.  My goal is for it to end the ride at about 50-60% charged which is the perfect storage charge.
