530 won't charge

My 530 has recently stopped charging and when plugged in presents a battery icon inside a red stop sign symbol. If I connect to the PC I can hard reset a few times and eventually it will boot up and link to the PC but then drops again randomly. Any suggestions?

If it is being seen by your PC, the micro USB connector will be OK, so it’s likely to be battery failure. Does it run normally when connected to an external power source?
