- I am using the device since March 2022;
- Polar H10 heart rate monitor;
- Edge’s firmware version is 9.73.

Maybe you just haven't achieved the physical state to trigger the calculation. I only rarely have my 830 detect a lactate threshold.
If you want the number I would just do a LTHR test and work it out…
Do you also have FTP auto-detect enabled, and is it detecting new FTP values? Asking because my LTHR auto-detections often (always?) come when a new FTP is auto-detected. The activity conditions that are…
I have no idea what the triggers are. I have had new values from less than all out rides so going all out may not trigger it. Doing a LTHR specific test and not relying on the Garmin is the easiest way…
I use two different power meters: the one on the road bike and that on the time trial bike
I think you need to set a resting HR value for it to compute a value.
Regrettably, I know others got the edge 530 calculate LTHR without setting resting HR

Probably unrelated, but I also notice you have HR zones set based on %HRmax. You may want to try an alternative, such as %LTHR. If your LTHR is quite high, then zones based on %HRmax can be too wide (and too low) to be very useful. Also the zones will almost never change (since max HR almost never changes), but we need the zones to adjust when our fitness changes in order for them to be useful.
Wongataa Haven’t seen your reply until now, thanks for it. Ten days ago I did 20’ all out, so I think that had been a trigger, definitely
@Kyle J: thanks. FTP was not auto detected, now I have turned it on to see whether things work properly. As soon as I’ll get some meaningful value for LTHR I will calculate HR zones as a % of LTHR

It works like this: First you need a VO2 MAX figure. Garmin will (sometimes) estimate one for you using your body metrics you input like age and weight, ect. If It doesn't, just put in a number after reading about the subject at different sites to understand it... Firstbeat Analytics is good - recently acquired by Garmin. With VO2 you can conduct a FTP guided test using your device - it's in the My Stats menu. Once you do the FTP test you'll have new HR zones that can now be viewed on your device. Look at the low number in zone 4..."Threshold". This is the number you are seeking: "LactateThreshold" Now put it in the blank above and finally, IF you exceed this number during an activity, the Edge 530 will 'auto-detect' and change the "Lactate Threshold" to the new number.
Thanks for all the replies. As was suggested, in order to have the estimate of LTHR you need also to turn on the estimation of FTP. Not sure this is the fix, but it worked for me.
