530 brightness will not adjust

Just updated firmware and now brightness is stuck at some low value. Does not adjust when changed from auto to manual, manual adjustments make no difference. All other components work fine it is now just virtually impossible to use as I cannot read the screen unless a very specific angle of direct sunlight.

Anyone else had this problem? Any fixes? I have rebooted, I have reset, I have updated the firmware again. Still no action.

I have gave it all a good testing on my 530 using V 9.73 and cannot reproduce non of the issues mentioned in the thread, it all works perfectly.

Have you solved this problem? My device worked perfect for 2 years and now I got the same issue.

I have also rebooted, I have reset, I have updated the firmware again. Still no action.

I ended up contacting Garmin and they replaced my device at no cost. Try reaching out to them. It was relatively painless and quick.

Best to contact Garmin Product Support directly using the Garmin Support Center. Suggest chat or call, availability will depend on your location and time of day. Alternatively, you can email [email protected], but don't expect a quick response and resolution using that method.
