No Gps on brand new edge 530

I bought a new edge 530 and I can't get gps signal. I tried to reset the unit and it still doesnt work. Gps is on of course.

Is there anything missing in the installation?

When I open browse map I see the random location in the middle of US, it says Garmin and a question mark.

Any solution or is the unit faulty?

Plug it to PC and check GPS signal again

I plug it to a MAC OS (does it make a difference) and when connected I can't check the GPS signal it says it's charging. I can see the device folders and files. Still no gps

Have you connected to GCM or GE?

I forgot to say that after connect to PC or Mac you should sync device by using Garmin Express.

I did sync with Garmin Express, also downloaded the region map. GPS still dead... I connected with bluetooh to my phone, also connected with wifi, and with garmin express on my laptop. When I load a komoot course for example... it appears "adquiruing satellites"... and stays there looking for satellites also the time without progressing.

The 530 has to be outside to receive a GPS signal. How long did you have it outside? When new, it may take up to twenty minutes to get the signal.

Make sure the unit is outside somewhere with a good view of the sky. Turn it on and make sure the indoor profile is not selected (that has the GPS off). Leave it until it gets a GPS lock. It may take quite a long time for the first lock since it has no idea where it is. When it gets GPS lock there will be a GPS ready message visible briefly and on the map page the marker will be at your location and it will not have a question mark on it.

Thank you for your help. Finally it worked after around 15 mins outside. Now it is fully working and it worked great on the first ride.
