Please fix Weather Widget wind speed on Status Page!

It's been mentioned before, but this is still broken. Wind speed perpetually stuck at "0". Everything else works fine; Weather Condition, Temp, Precip, and Wind Direction all faithfully report current conditions. But the speed is ALWAYS stuck at zero on the status screen. If you select the weather bar and open it, the correct wind speed is shown there, but it is never transferred to the status page. This has to be an easy fix! Example below. Wind is correctly shown as out of the North, but at a speed of "0" (zero). Please fix before you abandon the 530!

Wow you're right, I never noticed this before (keep forgetting to use it). Mine currently has SE 13km/h on the full widget display but shows "SE 0" on the status screen.

Garmin-Eiliko Thanks for taking an interest in this problem for us. I've never seen ANY report of this working properly on ANY Edge 530 (and likely 830). So you likely don't need my data, any 530 will likely reproduce the same problem, but if you do need my data:

Does the wind speed work for anyone on the status page? Is this a widespread problem as I believe, or am I wrong on this point?

I was just in chat with support and submitted my screenshots etc. Also I see this was also reported by others about a year ago:

Thanks! I replied to the email and provided all requested documentation.

I'd really like to know, does the wind speed show on the Status screen for anyone? If it's a universal problem it should be quite easy for Garmin to fix.

I see this is an old thread, but I still have the '0 mph' wind speed on my Garmin 530. Before I found this thread I had reset the device and cleared the app data on my phone, and it still doesn't work. As mentioned, if I go into the weather bar, I can see the wind speed, but going back out it still says 0 on the status page. I would love to see a resolution for this!

RocThrower I think this is universally broken for all x30 devices and Garmin refuses to fix it. Now that the x40s are out, they'll likely ignore this item which as far as I know has never worked.

Garmin-Eiliko Is there any update on this, or is this just a feature that will remain perpetually broken?

I have never noticed this, interesting. Coincidentally, I have been using this data field after getting caught out in a nasty rain/hail storm recently. Seems to work as intended and offers wind speed and direction when mobile data is available.
