My Wahoo Tick Heart rate monitor pairs with Garmin Edge 530 but it wont display the heart rate

I have tried pairing my Wahoo Tickr heart rate monitor with my Garmin Edge 530. It says it found the sensor and it shows that the heart rate monitor is connected. If i start a workout there is no heart rate:(

I have tried installing and uninstalling several times, restarted the devices etc. Still no heart rate;(

The 520 can only use ANT+ for sensors. That is why there is no option.

Have you tried a new battery in the HRM?

It is a brand new battery. The heart rate monitor works as expected with other devices, eg. zwift

How is the HRM paired to the Garmin - Bluetooth or ANT+? Delete the connection and try the other protocol.

When you go to add a sensor you choose whether to use ANT+ or BT. It is a while since I have done it so I can't remember the exact menu options.

Actually. It is a garmin edge 520. It was a mistake on my side to put in 530. It does not seem to have the option of choosing
