Pairing Failed

Recently my Garming EDGE530 has disconnected itself from my Android phone. I tried to connect with 3 different devices having the same issue, the Bluetooth pairing fails in the last stage.

Tried all the options on troubleshooting. Reset my Garmin device, nothing seems to work.

I can use the device to track my rides but cant connect to the phone, really useless!!!

Hi guys, I also removed all the Bluetooth connections, restarted the whole process again with the same result, and even reset the Garmin device to factory default. I basically run all the troubleshooting…

Try installing the older version of the Garmin connect app wich can be found here. https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/garmin/garmin-connect-mobile/garmin-connect-mobile-4-58-1-release/

It sorted the problem for me.

Hi guys, thanks for the quick reply.

I tried installing the older Garmin connect version 4.58.1 on my android device (android 12) But had the same result, I managed to go through the whole pairing process, and it failed at the end :(

Garmin really sucks, and the customer experience is horrible. We basically need to find help from other users.

Any other tips?

Remove the Garmin from your phone's bluetooth paired devices list.

As SloMTBR suggests, remove any old connections to your Edge under your phones bluetooth settings, and do a factory reset on your Edge. Make sure you restart your phone before doing the pairing process. Hope you get this sorted.

Contacted Garmin, but not sure if there is even 1 real person helping on the issues, it's all FAQ and asks the community type of support.

Let's see if someone else had a similar experience and can help to deal with it.

I am having a very similar issue with my Fenix 7 Solar Saphire. It was connected perfectly since its purchase in Feb, however I performed a factory reset a few days ago and have tried every support suggestion since. I have even tried creating a new garmin account to ensure it wasn't a corrupt data issue.

Removed BT, removed the app, reset the watch, turned phone on and off. Logged in and out of connect.

The watch connects to the phone's bluetooth however then goes on to say "pairing to connect failed"

I'm getting watch text notifications on the watch so bluetooth works, however anything fitness related will not download or upload.

Garmin-Eiliko you have my permission to help me solve this.

I have 10+ years of data (this is my third fenix watch).

As a side. the reason I did this in the ifrst place is that my middle button is not working. I have emailed garmin australia but have had no respnse in a week?
