Data field next turn/cue

I'm find it difficult to read the navigation cues on the top of the map screen (i.e., "200 ft, left arrow, Bernal Rd.") So, I want to set up the cues as a separate screen. I find the "next point location" and "distance to next" fields, but I can;'t seem to find a field that would indicate the turn direction, either with words or graphical. Am I overlooking something, or is this just not an available field? To recap, what I want is 3 fields:

1. Distance to next

2. [field I'm looking for indicating next turn]

3. Next point location

Thanks.

  • Unfortunately there is no third field just showing the symbol and unlike the "Crs. Pt. Dist." field (for "Course Points" ), the "Dist. To Next" is not a compound field showing the distance & symbol.  These fields are not going to be any larger than the "Guide text" at the top of the map screen ("when navigating").

An alternate and more general solution for us riders with mature eyes might be riding (sun) glasses with a magnifying section at the bottom of each lenses, I have been successfully using some from Dual Eyewear for the last 10 years but there are other brands as well

(PS for the screenshot below I was not "navigating" ie had "Turn Guidance" disabled therefore the Next Pt Location is blank although oddly the Dist To Next still worked and showed the same as the Crs Pt Dist for the Course points I was using)

  • Would using your map as a Turn Guidance pop-up, instead of text, be an option? (Menu>Settings>[your activity profile]>Navigation>Navigation prompts=Map).

Up to 2 data fields can be shown on the map as well.

Like L.Rouge mentions, I also use Riding sunglasses with an RX clip-in and it works very well. I have clear lenses as well.

  • Thanks. I'd be satisfied with the R/L or right/left. But that doesn't exist? Sigh. Thanks.

  • I have the map prompt feature. I find the two fields on the map too small and am trying to replicate them as a 3 field data screen. Thanks.
