Adding maps with iphone

Help. I’m in France and didn’t realize I needed to down load maps to properly use the garmin 530 to navigate. Can I download French maps using my iPhone? Thanks

No. Maps can only be downloaded on a computer.

You need a computer to download maps from Garmin.

But you can install maps by just copying a file (from other sources) too. (If you have an IMG file, just copy it to the \Garmin folder on the Edge.)

Unfortunately, that's hard to do with the iPhone because there's no way of connecting the Edge to the iPhone as an external disk (that you can copy files too).
