how to stop Garmin Express opening every time I turn computer on

Garmin Express will open up on my desktop every time I start computer and wake it up from sleep. How do I turn that off?

    Make sure Garmin Express and MacOS are both up to date.

    Delete and re-install Garmin Express

    Also, you can try deleting the preference files.

    /Users/yourhomefolder/Library/Preferences/com.garmin.renu.client.plist

    /Users/yourhomefolder/Library/Preferences/com.garmin.renu.service.plist

    Open Garmin Express, go to the "gear symbol" for settings at the top of the window.  In "Settings>General" you will see checkbox for "Always keep Garmin Express running in the background."  Uncheck this box.

    After every update of Garmin Express you will have to go in and uncheck this box.  I do it every time!
