Edge 530 Not auto turning off Bontrager lights after a ride.

HI. I have properly connected my Bontrager lights (Ion 200TT/Flare RT) to my Garmin Edge 530. The "light network is established.

The lights automatically come ON when I turn on the Edge.This is good.

However, they do not automatically turn OFF after I am done riding and turn off the Edge. I thought it might be a safety thing to stay on a few minutes, but these are flashing away after 15+ minutes. (They automatically turn off if I turn off the Edge without riding.)

Are they supposed to automatically turn off when I power off the Edge at the end of a ride, or do I need to manually turn them off?

Note: Garmin said to contact Trek who said to contact Garmin...

Been there too... I set the lights to individual mode and turn them off before shutting the 530 off. Unfortunately Bontragers own widget is only applicable on touchscreen edge devices....
