Edge 530 does not connecting via USB

Is there a solution found in the meantime?

I have the same problem and cannot get the GARMIN edge 530 to connect with the laptop.

Are you using the cable that came with it? If not you may be using a cable that carries power only and not "Data". Are you on a PC or MAC?

Hi,

I am using the Garmin cable and various other cables that work as datacables with other equipment. I am working on a LAPTOP with Windows 10.

No, not really.

Can you advise how to PRECISELY do that - holding which button when etc.?

You will need to hold down the Lap/Reset button while connecting your Edge to the computer. This will force it into Mass Storage mode. JSo

Thanks to you and meltonboy I managed to force the Edge 530 into mass-storage mode.

Maybe the last Windows update also helped.

Hpopefully next time it will work by itself. The whole handling of this GPS is more complicated than other Garmins I still use and have used in the past.
