I bought a slew of new Garmin devices (2x Edge 530, Varia, 2 sets of power pedals, & an Enduro) to replace some older devices. On my 4th ride with the Garmin 920xt & Edge 530, my 920xt froze up and lost data. No worries, I'll just synch from the Edge 530.
I plugged the Edge 530 into my Mac & I do not get the Garmin device on the desktop; however, the device is charging. Pretty odd right? I disconnect and plug in my 920xt - boom, the Garmin device is on the desktop and Garmin Express recognizes it as plugged in. I disconnected it and attached the Edge 530 - same issue. It's charging, but not recognized by the Mac. I tried to "add new device" via Garmin Express, but it can't find the Edge (obviously because the Mac doesn't know it exists).
Any ideas? I've repeated this multiple times and every time the Edge 530 is plugged in, the Mac OS can't find it (powered on or off). Normally when I plug in Garmin devices, I get the "battery charging" icon & also the little funky "trident" looking icon (saying the computer recognizes it). The Edge 530 shows the battery charging icon, but not the little trident thingy.
