Show elevation profile on map screen not working

Hello,

It seems that "Show elevation profile" on map screen doesn`t work on my E530 (running latest firmware).

While on a course, on map screen, when I go to "Data fields", the "Show elevation profile" is selected, but I still see only map and navi directions. Selecting/deselecting doesn`t change anything.

I`m not sure if something else should be enabled to see it? Also, I tried to create course in Garmin Connect, RWGPS or device itself - I still don`t see the elev. profile..

I do not use it as it wastes space and prefer to see more of the map and use the elevation page separate.

If I recall, to enable the elevation profile on the map page, you need to go into data pages, select map, and then play about with adding data fields and you will find what you are looking for.

I'm not at home now to look at mine to be more precis as to how to do it.

See this thread. Here the user wanted to turn it off. It gives teh location of teh setting.
