Adjust Auto Start to below 6mph

I ride my mtb on lots of steep hills where starting out at 6mph to trigger the auto start won't happen. When I try to set it below 6mph it doesn't not allow it and says 6mph is the minimum. Is there any way to lower this other than using manual pause/resume? I just bought this 530 and on this feature alone I am not happy with it.

One thing you will find with the "530" is that it is slow to respond with messages. You will probably find that "Auto Start" has happened soon as you started moving, but the 530's "Flash to bang" response…

I agree with ewarnerusa and keep auto start on "prompt", as it has saved me from forgetting to record a ride. But as leginswal says, the message response is slow, so I lost about 1/4 mile of the…

I will rock on to your auto pause hate drum! I don't get the reason for this feature, your ride starts when you start and ends when you end and the time between start and end is how long your ride took…

The 530 & 830 can do the auto prompt. I have that function turned on.

Yes, I know the 530 has "auto prompt" but as in what I wrote in my last posting, does the 530 allow both "manual start" and "auto prompt " to be both enabled at the same time like an 800 as I have never checked. So if you forget to manually start, you will see the auto prompt when you next look at the 530.

leginswal Yes, it is as you describe. As I mentioned, the prompt has helped me already when I forgot to push start.

I have manual start and auto prompt set on my 830. It is possible.

Well I just created a profile called "Steel" for my daily commuting, and I was able to set autopause down to 3.5 km/h

I find on the 530, I can only have one of the three options enabled, either "Manual Start", "Auto Prompt" or "Auto Start" and no option to enable two of them. So it is not possible on the 530.

I tested it this morning and with Manual Start, no prompt pops up asking me if I want to start if I do not press the start button and that is with a speed over 6mph>

With Auto Prompt enabled, I can start the device manually by pressing the start button before the Auto Prompt message pops up, ie before I start riding, but when I do, "Auto Pause" does not kick in for some unknown reason.
