I went for a ride this morning. On returning home, I connected my 530 to the PC and opened Garmin Express which then promptly informed me that their was a new version of Garmin Express which I installed, Ver 7:13
Once installed, I opened Garmin Express and synched my 530. The ride I did this morning showed up in the activities in Garmin Connect.
I then went to import my mornings ride into Sporttracks direct from the 530 which informed me "Nothing to import". I tried it 3 more time with the same result. Very odd.
I then went to import my activities from last week, the weekend and today direct from the 530 into Garmin training centre, once again, nothing to import. Very Odd
On looking at the "activities" folder in the 530 in explorer, it was empty. Very odd
I booted up the 530 and looked at the "History", which reported "No rides saved". Very odd,
I have done nothing no different in my procedures for importing my activities yet somehow they have all been deleted from my history after the new version of Garmin Express synched to Garmin Express.
Somehow now, I have to extract my rides from Garmin Connect and then import them into Sporttracks an Garmin Training Centre to keep my records up todate.
Or, scan my 530 and look for deleted files and restore them.
So far, extracted the files from Garmin Connect, but unable to find any deleted activities from today. Its as if my activities have become hidden. Just have to wait to see what a deep scan does which takes a long time.
A deep scan told me that every activity had been overwritten by "gmapdem.img" for some unknown reason and are unrecoverable!!!!!!!
So now, I will not be using Garmin Express until I have downloaded all info from the 530 after a ride to save it just in case Garmin Express is now bugged like everything else Garmin tries to update.
