Map updates notification

I know map updates appear when connecting the edge to a pc. Just wondering if there is another way to get notified about map updates?

There is no published release schedule as far as I am aware. There will be no change log as it will just be the map data as it is on OpenStreetMap at the time Garmin takes their snapshot.

If you open Garmin Express it will tell you if any of your Garmin devices registered there have any updates and you can see what they are. The devices don't have to be connected.

Yes I know the devices don't have to be connected. I am hoping to find a website with release schedule/change log and that kind of information.
