Timer NOT accurate during activity tracking

Hi guys,

I have recently upgraded to an Edge 530 from an edge 520, and I'm loving it. I took it out on my first ride around the Lake District this week. I was pleasantly surpriesd to see my average speed at the end of a 60km ride accumulating over 1000m of climbing, especially as it was a triathlon route reccie for later in the year.

I found it strange that the moving time registered on the Garmin, and that which was uploaded to strava were wildly different. Some 20 minutes out! I thought nothing of it, however on my commute this week, I managed to knock 5 minutes off my PB, without trying, with a cold. I found this strange, and then again, saw that the moving time on the strava upload was about 5 minutes different to that on the Garmin (bear in mind there were zero stoppages during this ride).

On the way home, I decided to track the ride on my forerunner 245 (never had any issues) as well as my 530, starting and stopping them at the exact same time. My Edge 530 once again recorded a quicker ride time than the FR245. Both uploads ended up on strava, and the FR245 matched the strava file.

Through the evening I tried simply starting both the FR245 and the Edge530 at the same time, just sitting still and watching the timers. The FR245 is reaching 10 seconds 2 seconds earlier than the 530. I also checked the 530 against my phones timer, and the same thing happened again. It's led me to the conclusion that the timer is not counting accurately. It seems to be counting each second in real time as 1 and a bit seconds.

I have updated the Edge530 to the latest software, and done a hard reset, but I can't seem to fix the issue. Does anybody have any advice please?

Thanks
