Edge 530 dropouts since 9.30 update

Yesterday after the 9.30 software update on my Edge 930 dropouts started to happen randomly. Mostly on the speed sensor, but also on power, and HR. Power sensor battery was replaced one day ago so it can't be that. Not sure what to do, is there any way to revert back to the previous firmware? Thanks

Yes you can, go back to firmware 9.1 and everything works.
Then make the dummy file so you are not prompted to update anymore.

I had the same issue, power dropouts all the time and the ERG was lagging a lot. Also, a workout with a lot of steps was making the device reboot on the "start button" which meant I cannot start the desired…

Same, it affects 1030+, 830 and 530 judging from the threads.

Same here. Clearly more dropouts with 9.30 than before.

Bad release! I had a lot of disconnects - HRM, radar, speed sensor, cadence sensor - at least 5 times in 40km. The accident notification went off twice without anything happening. My wife at home was scared. Sorry, but this needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

I am having the same issue.

Edge 530 with firmware 9.30 - Only half of my ride tracked on GPS - It recorded the whole distance (guessing because I have a speed sensor).

Looks like it dropped out after auto-pausing.

What is going on with Garmin firmware recently - they managed to break my watch, my Index smart scale and now the cycle computer too.

My 530 has problems with satellites, since I installed 9.30. can't find them

do you have the Recording Interval set to "Smart" if so, try "1 Sec" Edge 530 - Data Recording Settings (garmin.com)

I've seen setup tips that recommend this to avoid drop out issues. Don't know if it will help in this case, but can't hurt.

My hr & speed are doing the same (and the displayed data during rides blanks out too). So frustrating.

Just updated to 9.40 after my ride tonight but from the changelog this isn't addressed.
