Heart rate and cadence monitors with new batteries won't pair

I bought my Edge 530 3 years ago. I've used it continuously since without any problems. I recently had to change the batteries in both my heart rate monitor and my cadence monitor. Now, neither sensor will pair. I deleted the heart rate monitor and then tried to re-add it, and it will not sync/pair. Under add sensors, I've checked the box for the heart rate monitor and the spiral of death at the top of the device just continues to spiral without any indication that it has been recognized. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe that after you tick the box for the sensor you're trying to pair you need to go back to the top of that screen and highlight Add Sensor and then click on enter.

Are you trying to pair vie ANT+ or Bluetooth? ANT+ is generally recommended if possible.

When pairing the sensor has to be awake. This means you should be wearing the HRM and have the cadence sensor installed and have spun the wheel/crank enough to get it active.

Thanks mate, it helped me. Garmin UI is sometimes really bad :-)
