I would like larger notification fonts

when the garmin shows me notifications, such as the message of the heart rate too high, it uses very small characters, in my opinion it would be useful if larger characters were used for the notifications, even occupying the whole screen for a few seconds, so you could read much better, especially with sunglasses.

  • Totally agree, they are useless, small white text on a black background, completely unreadable most of the time and if you are set up to receive various notifications, you do not even have a clue what it could have been if you try and stop to read it before it disappeared.

And this is with wearing my bifocals.

  • Agreed.  I see not reason to have them as small as they are.  If there's a problem where people would say the larger font obstructs other information just give the user the ability to set the duration of the message and the size of the font.

  • Its also another reason that I do not have my phone connected to the 530, In my first weeks with the 530 I had them linked but whenever I got a text message etc, it popped up on the 530's screen and its too small for me to read and at the time did not know if it was a heart rate warning or something else etc so I never link the phone to the 530 anymore. These days, I just sometimes have a heart rate notification for being too high and nothing else. Then when I see it on the screen, I know what it is and it cannot be anything else.

In fact to this day, I have never seen any reason whatsoever as to why I need to connect my phone to a 530. I can check the weather before I ride for the duration that I will be out and when I'm out, I can look up at the sky and see if its going to rain etc, I can use live tracking on my phone if I ever need it, I can hear my phone alert me if I get a message or call etc.

To me, its just a gimmick. My 530 is my training device and my phone is my communication device.
