HRM inverse the frequency

Hi,

Mi HRM (cardiac band) shows the frequency in inverse values. What I mean is that when my heart rate frequency is low, the Garmin 530 Edge shows high values and vice versa.

Could you please advice me on how to solve this problem?

Thank you!

  • My guess is that the problem is with the HR belt, and not the EDGE 530 as such. If it's cold or bad contact with the skin it can lead to false results, and at at time a thing like "flapping jersey syndrome" would give very high values for no reason ( I think the later was caused by static electricty made from rubbing the jersey against the HR sensor) . Do you put the HR strap on "dry" , or do you remember to add some moist ( water will do) either on you or the sensor  before riding ?
