Edge 530. Map only shows little arrow and green line on white screen.

Edge 530. New

Map only shows little arrow and green line indicating where I have been on a blank white screen. (totally useless)

I need it to show the map like the one on the box it came in (navigation with roads etc.)

I have downloaded updates from the Garmin web site and played with all of the map settings.

There must be something I am missing. Any help would be great. thanks.

i contacted garmin directly.... ended up getting a rebuilt from them.

Check to see if you have a map that covers your area enabled. You might find that they have all been disabled or just the one covering your area.

I'm back! I connected my Edge to Garmin Express and reinstalled my maps. That solved the problem. I hope this helps someone arriving at this discussion and looking for help. Cheers.

Wow! Thanks for responding. Luckily, my situation was resolved by reinstalling all my maps (as mentioned above.) Glad you found relief from your problem.
