I got a new 530 last week, in a bundle with a heart rate monitor. At the moment I'm only doing indoor training, using a turbo.
The issues I have are:
1. It picked up the cadence monitor without me having to go through the pairing process but it will not pair with the HRM. It recognises the HRM exists, I select 'pair' and the 'waiting' wheel starts whirring but nothing happens, no matter how long I leave it. It's definitely not the HRM battery, as it will pair with my older Edge 500. Any ideas, please?
2. I connected the 530 to the WiFi but now every time I turn it on there is a red line through the WiFi icon. I have no idea why.
3. I tried to pair the 530 with my iPhone, having downloaded the Connect app. Online instructions say to use WiFi to pair, not Bluetooth but the Connect app doesn't give this option. When I try to pair the devices I get a message in the connect app saying my iPhone Bluetooth connection is not switched on, when it most definitely is. Simultaneously, there doesn't appear to be anywhere on the 530 that says 'enable Bluetooth'... so the pairing simply won't happen
4. Although the WiFi icon has a red line through it, the Bluetooth icon is flashing but I have no idea how to get to Bluetooth on the device, so I don't know what the flashing icon indicates.
I'm quite frustrated with the device, as you might guess. As a mate said when he tried to help me set it up, "It really shouldn't be this complicated. Wahoo is much easier"...
