Fenix 7X vs Edge 530 Different Training Load

I am aware that the older Fenix 5 plus series and Edge 530 give different training status and load due to their calculation method. My new Fenix 7X and Edge 530 have now started to show different training load and occasionally different Training Status.

Initially the 530 and 7X were within 2-3 when it came to training load numbers but up until 2 weeks ago it is vastly different.

I always use True Up and have even deleted history on both devices, turned off True Up, synced, turned back on True Up and re-synced to make sure both devices have the exact same activity history but the 530 just cannot catch up. I thought it calculated the same.

Same issue for me, but with an Epix.

Before the Epix I had a Forerunner 945, and that one always had the exact numbers as the 530, but now with the Epix they differ.

Have you make sure to follow these steps

Perform a sync BEFORE each activity, to ensure there is a common starting point for load data.

to get integrated load data onto Garmin Connect after a ride, you need to perform THREE syncs:

1. Sync the Edge to Garmin Connect

2. Sync the watch to Garmin Connect so that it can receive the ride data

3. Sync the watch AGAIN so that the intergrated statistics from the watch are displayed on Garmin Connect

I did always sync before rife and after ride then 3 sync steps as well. I started to use fenix 6 first then few days later edge both new device . They having both exactly the same power and HR zones same activitiy history inside with the same load numbers in watch and in edge for each single activity. Trainign focus numbers & status the same

Hi, also same problem with 530 and Fenix 6 pro solar. Training load is not the same on both devices. Sync before and after rides doesnt change anything

Hi, i do everything like you wrote here. But I've got problem to sync training status between Edge 530 and Fenix 7 v. 11.21 beta and earlier betas.

EDGE 530 calculates training status and a I can see it in the edge, but when I open training status in GC i don't see training status. But recovery time, training load, vo2max is syncing normally and i can see it in Fenix and GC. Can you help me?
