  • For any issues that you encounter please fill out the form included in the download and attach it to an email to [email protected]. Please note that you may not get a response to the email unless we need more information on the issue you report.
  • Although this software is believed to be reliable, it has not yet been released for production and should be used at your own risk.

Changes made from version 9.24 to 9.26:

  • Fixed software crashes caused by encrypted CIQ programs that are no longer valid.
  • Fixed a couple of device stability issues.

Changes made from version 9.22 to 9.24:

  • Fixed automatic maximum heart rate detection.
  • Added the ability to perform the FTP test with power data coming from a trainer.

Changes made from version 9.20 to 9.22:

  • Changed gear battery data field to display percentage remaining if available, which affects Shimano Di2 single-battery systems.
  • Updated sensor low battery prompts to differentiate between low and critical status.
  • Fixed issue where distance could stop accumulating.
  • Fixed issue where text message sender names would display incorrectly.
  • i just installed the 9.26

AGAIN it is loosing the Red Etap 11speed shifting sensors and now this is happening much faster per minute than before (any other firmware updates of the last two months).Lost/found every 5 seconds.New baterries fitted also.

The funny thing is that ONLY ONE SENSOR IS PAIRED AND STILL IT IS LOOSING THE SIGNAL

i have not paired any other of my sensors (HRM,Favero,Varia) and still your computer cannot pair with a single sensor.

Garmin ........you are loosing control of your creations........what a pitty!!!!!!

  • Noting new in this matter, another beta or a release?

  • Since the thread about version 9.10 is locked I will write it here.
    Nearly a year ago I wrote: forums.garmin.com/.../1275637

There are many similar threads on the forum, including from 2 years ago and earlier.
Is one year time not enough for Garmin to fix such stupid thing as not allowing software update attempt during ongoing activity ? Day before yesterday the same thing happened to me again on version 9.10.
Garmin - you guys supposedly make flight navigation equipment, right?
You have to be crazy to use it considering the above.
And no - I am not and will not be nice. Your devices are expensive - start making efforts so that we know what we paid for, because so far the above problem or automatic switching on and off the screen backlight after dark is a topic you have been dealing with for 5 years without success.

  • Hello all, how stable is this beta please? I need to get away from that ridiculous change to the DI2 battery level. Talk about pointless changes that make things worse.

  • I dont have Di2 but its stable, did not had any problem, 1030 device, but fw shoud be same across devices

  • It is odd that the 9.22/.24/.26 Betas have had such a long exposure without a subsequent "release" or new beta, (9.26 was posted on 03/Feb/22) and the changes in all three address annoying but fairly trivial issues (not unlike the whole of V8 & V9 Releases). Perhaps the whenever pending release of an Edge X40 Series is taking all the developer resources to deal with the version 1.00 software "issues".

Anyway I am happy back at 7.10, a few things I would like from V8 but can't put up with the other baggage that comes along with it, won't be enticed to "upgrade" unless there is something really special on offer.

  • I just took my first road bike ride this season (weather-related) last night and had at least five incidents of COMPLETE sensor drop-outs/eventual reconnects on a 100- minute ride.   It was VERY frustrating.

My road bike uses a Garmin Edge 530 unit running the most recent official firmware.  The sensor package contains a Garmin speed sensor, a Garmin front light and rear radar, a Stages left crank power meter, and a Polar heart rate strap.   All of the devices would drop at the same time, and then roughly 2 to 4 minutes later reconnect.   This issue did not occur with older firmware (perhaps two-to-three years ago).

Last year I spent time fully resetting the unit and re-pairing all sensors as per instructions posted to this forum on how to correct the forming light network issue.  Having four bikes with sensors, I can say this was no trivial task.

Come on, Garmin - I will gladly participate in a user-assisted debug session to help FULLY resolve this issue.
